I started out on my journey into content way back in 2010, when I joined an SEO agency to become an online PR specialist (which basically means glorified link builder). I soon realised that I wanted to do more and be in charge of all aspects of PR and social media and I took a job to go in house with a fashion ecommerce brand.
My eagerness to travel then took me to Sydney where I decided to stay and live for five years. I joined a content marketing agency and became a strategist and editor, working across B2B and B2C clients. I also produced the PR for the agency to enable them to grow their brand.
The experience of working in another country and dealing with multi-national clients, gave me the skills to develop quickly and I became intrigued about setting out by myself.
When I returned to London, I decided to fly solo and I started picking up some contract work within agencies and started to work with clients on the side. Some of those clients are still with me and I also work with one of the biggest brands in the world - to manage and maintain their corporate blog.
With a background in PR, I’m passionate about merging the gap between PR and Content Marketing and have been working with a PR agency as a consultant for the last year to help them evolve and win new clients. Contact me if you are interested in this service.
